Philipp Loos founded Loos Boilers in 1865 in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. After moving via Offenbach am Main to Gunzenhausen and Bischofshofen, LOOS developed from simple boiler construction to being a worldwide supplier of industrial boiler systems. Since then, above 100,000 boiler systems have been delivered to more than 140 countries. Sales activities abroad are supported by subsidiaries and branches in 11 countries and representatives throughout almost the whole world.

Every year, over 1,500 boiler systems are produced in modern production facilities. LOOS INTERNATIONAL manufactures these in various factories in Germany and Austria, and is ready to meet the challenges of the new millennium.
