Easy operation and control of steam boilers using the electronic "LOOS BOILER CONTROL LBC"

On the basis of a compact automation device made by Siemens, LOOS INTERNATIONAL has developed a convenient boiler control device for LOOS steam boilers. All the regulating and control functions for boiler control have been grouped together into an SPC as the central operating unit. These include devices to regulate the boiler performance, water level, desalting and blow-down, plus controls for the Economizer or superheater. The LOOS BOILER CONTROL - LBC control can be used whether the system works with gas, oil or a dual burner, with stepped or modulating options, with mechanical or electronic network. And the LBC boiler control is also prepared for operation without continuous supervision over 24 or 72 hours.

Previous conventional boiler control systems, using electro-mechanical operating elements, switches and individual digital controllers for performance, pressure, water level, temperatures and volume flows, have been replaced. The LBC boiler control in the front door of the switchgear cabinet contains the entire operating and functional software for the steam boiler. All the functions, with the associated operating states, setpoints and sensor-recorded operating parameters are displayed in a clear layout using a plain text display. An integral fault alarm management system within the LBC boiler control captures and logs and faults including all the operating states relevant for the fault. The boiler control can be integrated into higher-level control systems via PROFIBUS DB.
