A flame tube boiler is generally a shell boiler with one or two flame
tubes. Smooth or corrugated flame tubes can be used. Due to the better use of
energy, the pure flame-tube boiler has developed into today's flame tube-smoke
tube boiler. Smoke gases firstly flow through the flame tube and then the smoke
tubes using one- or two-pass technology. The boiler water flows around the flame
tube and smoke tubes.
A flame tube boiler is used wherever hot water or steam of a consistently high
quality is required. As a rule, a flame-tube boiler has always a sufficient
stock of steam, even during sudden usage peaks.
LOOS INTERNATIONAL builds a flame tube boiler using the tried and tested
three-pass principle. They offer shell boilers as a single flame-tube or a
double flame-tube boiler for steam production capacities up to 55,000 kg/h and
for hot water generation up to 38,000 kW.
The various flame tube boiler plants, also known as shell boilers, are
manufactured in all pressure stages and for all fuels and can be fitted if
required with heat recovery systems to improve efficiency for all technical
heating processes.
LOOS INTERNATIONAL is one of the leading manufacturers of flame
tube boiler
plants in Germany and has supplied almost 100,000 boiler systems in over 140
countries throughout the world since the company was founded in 1865.
