A shell boiler is a flame tube-smoke tube boiler in which smoke gases
flow through the pipes and boiler water flows around them. A LOOS shell boiler
produces a maximum steam output of 55 t/h and, depending on the size of the
boiler, the permitted working gauge pressure is max. 31 bar.
A shell boiler is used wherever hot water or steam of a consistently high
quality is required. A shell boiler always has a sufficient stock of steam, even
during sudden usage peaks.
LOOS INTERNATIONAL builds shell boiler plants using the tried and tested
three-pass principle. A shell boiler is offer as a single flame-tube or a double
flame-tube boilers for steam production capacities up to 55,000 kg/h and for hot
water generation up to 38,000 kW. The various shell boilers are manufactured in
all pressure stages and for all fuels and can be fitted if required with heat
recovery systems to improve efficiency for all technical heating processes.
LOOS INTERNATIONAL is one of the leading manufacturers of shell boiler plants in
Germany and has supplied above 100,000 boiler systems
to more than 140 countries
throughout the world since the company was founded in 1865.
